Freedom Fight
A study of the Freedom Fight curriculum for men seeking purity and God's truth about their lives and breaking the hold of pornography and lust in their lives.
God has a plan and God has a promise for your life. If you're one of the vast majority of men for whom pornography, lust or sexual immorality has taken root in your life, there is a program that can show you the way out. The Freedom Fight. The Freedom Fight is a curriculum that includes videos, a workbook, and Holy Scriptures to help men refocus on who God says we are, not on who Satan tells us we are. Many of us choose to use accountability software on our electronic devices, we do face-to-face check-ins each week during our group time, and we have accountability partners we can lean on. Community provides a safe haven for us.
"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17.
Most of us didn't get into this place in our lives overnight, and we're not getting out of it overnight. But together, we can. Men with this addiction have had their brains chemically altered by dopamine. But once we understand this, there are tools we use to break the hold of pornography in our lives, learning who God says we are, and renewing our minds.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Roman 12:2. Renewing our minds is key. Come learn to renew your mind, and escape the hold that pornography, lust and sexual morality has on your life.
Remember the story of the adulterous woman from the book of John?
"The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group
4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.
5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”
6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.
10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” John 8. Come join the brotherhood of Christ, where there is no condemnation, only love and a desire to grow closer to God and be free from Satan's traps.
